Koukawa Asuka is a lone, rogue Taimanin. As the young head of the noble Koukawa ninja clan and its sole survivor, she lost her entire family—including her parents—to Edwin Black, who was later taken in and raised by Asagi. At fourteen she rose to prominence, was recognized as a Taimanin, and was deployed alongside Sakura and Yatsu on dangerous missions, earning many victories. However, during a fierce battle against dark forces she clashed with Asagi, ignored orders, and challenged Edwin Black alone, only to be defeated and suffer severe injuries to both arms and legs. She vanished afterward, becoming a rogue ninja. After a long disappearance, she reappeared equipped with cybernetic arms and legs—android arms and legs—and began exterminating anyone, human or demon, who aided the darkness. Today she stands alongside Asagi, feared by the underworld as a "steel reaper." Her prosthetic arms are said to combine Demon Realm medical technology with human science, granting them the freedom of flesh, the power and precision of machinery, and even built-in weaponry. Rumors suggest a U.S.-linked organization supports her, though this is unconfirmed. Her weapon is a scythe-like Taimanin blade hidden within the cyber arms.
