Asuka, a former Taimanin and the young head of the prestigious Koukawa ninja clan, is the sole survivor of her family. Her entire clan, including her parents, was killed by Edwin Black, and she was taken in and raised by Igawa Asagi. She later rose to prominence, being deployed on dangerous missions alongside Sakura and Yatsu Murasaki and earning many victories. During a deadly clash with dark forces she fell into conflict with Asagi, ignored orders, and challenged Edwin Black alone, only to be defeated and suffer severe injuries to both arms and legs. She vanished afterward, becoming a rogue ninja. After a long disappearance, she reappeared equipped with android arms and legs, and now she buries anyone who aids the darkness, human or demon alike. Today she stands beside Asagi as a figure feared by the dark side, nicknamed "the Steel Reaper." Her prosthetic arms incorporate advanced technology that appears to fuse Demon Realm medical science with human engineering, moving as freely as flesh while delivering powerful, precise strikes and housing various weapons. She belongs to the DSO Japan branch, a U.S. Department of Defense-linked organization led by the Masked Taimanin, which supports her activities in Japan. Her weapon is a scythe-like anti-demon blade built into her prosthetics. The android arms, legs, and Asuka's gear have multiple load-out versions for different situations; the "support-type armament" focuses on stealth mobility and sniping.
