Merode Croix is a renowned artist in the Demon Realm. Her works are highly praised for their artistic merit, but her paintings that materialize what they depict—known as "Maso-ga"—are especially valuable. Because of this, many powerful figures and nobles in the Demon Realm seek to claim her as a personal artist for status and wealth. However, she is a true artist at heart and refuses to be hired for money, so she remains unaffiliated. Some have considered forcing her, but she repels such attempts with her own abilities. Her personality isn't difficult; she's surprisingly easy-going, sometimes leaving her atelier to travel or taking commissions to teach. She constantly craves new forms of expression and holds a keen interest in Human Realm printing and visual technologies, frequently making appearances there.
