Akiyama Rinko is Mizuki Yukikaze's childhood friend and a sister-like presence to her. She is a master of the tachi and a full-transmission holder of the hereditary sword style "Itsutō-ryū" passed down through the Ninja Village. Feared as the "Demon-slaying Taimanin," she is a skilled and beautiful swordswoman. Within the academy she is regarded as a strong, beautiful, and strict senior. She shows no interest in the countless suitors courting her, perhaps because she finds more joy in caring for younger siblings. Among the female students she enjoys immense popularity, and a secret "Lady Rinko fan club" has quietly flourished. Regarding Fuuma Kotaro, she treats him as both a classmate of Mizuki Yukikaze and her own junior.
