Koukawa Asuka is a lone, rogue Taimanin. She is the young head of the prestigious Kōga ninja family and its sole survivor. After Edwin Black slaughtered her entire clan, including her parents, she was taken in and raised by Asagi. At fourteen she rose to prominence, earning recognition as a Taimanin and, alongside Sakura and Yatsu Murasaki, was deployed on dangerous missions, achieving many victories. During a fierce battle against dark forces she clashed with Asagi, ignored orders, and challenged Edwin Black alone, only to be defeated and suffer severe injuries to both arms and legs. She then disappeared, becoming a rogue ninja. Long thought missing, she later resurfaced equipped with android arms and legs, and now eradicates anyone—human or demon—who aids the darkness. Today she stands beside Asagi, feared by the underworld as a "steel reaper." Her prosthetic arms are said to incorporate advanced technology that fuses Demon Realm medical science with human engineering, granting them the freedom of flesh, the power of machinery, and built-in weaponry; rumors whisper of a U.S.–linked organization backing her, though nothing is confirmed. Her weapon is a scythe-like Taimanin blade hidden within the prosthetic arms.
