Chevalier is a demon of baron rank in the Demon Realm. She is known by the epithet "Alchemist of the Demon Realm," possesses a massive library, and studies ancient magics. Though uninterested in conflict, she shows no mercy to anyone who hinders her research. She appears in both the Demon Realm and the Human Realm, collecting and capturing rare books and creatures. Lately she's become fascinated by the recent activity in the Human Realm, so she's visited more often. To support this, she has established bases in dark towns such as Yomihara and Amidahara, bringing in vast quantities of books and research equipment. From her extensive knowledge, she hypothesizes that Taimanin may be the key to this world's future. Her studies also cover phenomena traditionally used as "warding charms" in the Human Realm, beyond just Taimanin.
