(Cerastes, she/her) A high-ranking demon who works as a mercenary in the Human Realm. Her upper body is human, while her lower half is that of a great serpent, making her part of the naga clan of snake deities. She sees the death-filled life of a mercenary as her true calling and is a battle-mad. Raised by humans, she has no awareness of her naga heritage and generally operates in human form. Though nagas can normally shapeshift at will, Cerastes, having been raised by people, never learned the method and relies on a mask's power to transform. Traumatized by being teased as a "snake-human" in childhood, she harbors hostility toward humans, especially the haughty and those who brandish justice. She met Fuuma while searching for others of her kind. Her mercenary experience makes her adept with weapons, and her extraordinary naga eyesight and strength let her handle heavy, unwieldy arms with ease. She displays a childlike delight whenever she acquires a new weapon.
