They are a prototype powered exoskeleton developed by the Ground Self-Defense Force. Designed as a next-generation infantry unit with armor and firepower capable of standing up to tanks and attack helicopters, resistance to extreme cold, and mobility for long-range, long-duration operations. As the cost of human lives rose, development accelerated among advanced nations, and they became the first operational exoskeleton after the U.S. "Alexander." Incorporating much of Alexander's technology, they're often called the Japanese-made Alexander. Their frontal sections are covered in composite armor comparable to the Type-20 tank, and they can operate for 72 hours without resupply. Armament includes a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun, an anti-tank dragon-shot cannon, and a reinforced-alloy blade for close combat. Like Alexander, their drive and transmission systems are said to use Demon Realm technology, granting them swift movement and sharply heightened pilot senses.
