Hasuma Reiko serves as a combat-field Taimanin while also teaching at Gosha Academy. She possesses a ninjutsu that "sees through objects," allowing her to pinpoint hidden opponents' positions and stances before striking them down with her weapon's whip. Her fierce fighting style has become legendary not only within the Taimanin ranks but also across other organizations. In the academy she maintains the same approach, using her sight-through power to detect students' misbehavior and discipline them harshly, earning her great fear among some pupils. Her strictness stems from love for her students; she never berates them irrationally or scolds them beyond what is necessary. Raised under a strict upbringing, she lost her father when a teammate's mistake cost his life during a mission, making her intolerant of others' compromises or laziness and even stricter with herself. Her fairness and dignified bearing inspire many students, and on Valentine's Day she receives abundant chocolates from the female students. She accepts them politely, but always reminds them, "Don't forget your duties as students and Taimanin."
