Fuyutsuki Kururi is a half-blood born between a demon-realm Oni and a human. Despite her youth, she possesses great intellect, magical power, and charisma, rallying an army of fellow demon-half troops and sometimes leading them from the front lines herself. She is rumored to show no mercy to foes, delighting in torment before killing them—a sadist driven by a goal to eradicate a certain Oni clan and seize its territory, which also happens to be her mother's hometown. Kururi's mother was once captured by a human shadow organization as a test subject, repeatedly abused, and forced to bear an unknown child before being sent back. Kururi was later born among the Oni, who branded her a loathsome hybrid and named her "Kyouri" (Mad Reason), shunning her. After her mother died from experimental aftereffects, Kururi fled, only to be captured as a test subject by a research lab. She was rescued by an elderly half-vampire who was there to stop the illegal experiments and became his adopted daughter. Under his care, she received elite training for demon-half elites, unlocking her natural brilliance. It was also discovered that her lack of typical Oni power stems from a unique magical energy mixed with human genes; she now wields magical tools to control that energy, creating a "Formula" that splits her demonic flame to bind enemies and a "Sendo" that manipulates the battlefield. When her adoptive father was killed in a massive power struggle, Kururi, driven to despair, laughed maniacally as suppressed emotions surged—an unbridled thirst for revenge against those who harmed her mother and a sadistic desire to see her enemies suffer. She eventually raised an army to claim a place where half-demons can live without fear, choosing her birthplace as the target to bathe it in blood and bury it in corpses, fulfilling her wish to see the home that tormented her and her mother drenched in gore. Though "Kyouri" is a hateful label given by the Oni, it is also a name tied to memories of her mother; even after receiving the surname "Fuyutsuki," she continues to go by "Kururi" in hiragana.
