Mei is a female researcher developing body suits and portable weapons at a laboratory funded by the United States. She was given elite education at the U.S. facilities from a young age. Possessing extraordinary talent in weapon development, she also demonstrates genius-level ability in their operation. To collect more precise data, Mei equips herself with her own prototype weapons and suits and heads to the battlefield. The "Full Roast Cannon" she wields is a weapon designed to bury demons with human power—compressing energy to destroy targets at the cellular level. However, its fuel consumption is terrible; after three shots the energy is depleted. She wears a special suit that serves as a control device for using this powerful weapon with a human body, but only a suit sized for her exists, so essentially only Mei can handle it. Her personal goal is to create weapons that make use of her talent. She develops anti-demon weapons merely to secure funding and has no interest in the demon threat itself. If it serves research, she will commit brutal acts without a second thought, indifferent to the resulting casualties or risks, and she may even discard comrades without mercy—though she harbors no malice. She focuses solely on what she can become passionate about, possessing a pure-hearted, childlike spirit.
