Sanada Homura has long served as a Taimanin. Her skill is unquestionable, but she's extremely hot-blooded and a combat fanatic who thinks of nothing but fighting. Consequently, whenever she returns from a mission to the village, she beats up anyone—teacher or student alike—under the pretense of training, earning fear from some quarters. In truth, she only chooses opponents she truly respects, and those who know this never try to stop her. Her combat style blends spear techniques with fire style; she detonates the spear's shaft to launch it like a rocket, scorching anything it touches. Because of this flamboyant fighting, she's often assigned as a diversion in missions, allowing other Taimanin to assassinate key targets while she unleashes overwhelming firepower. She's satisfied simply by rampaging at will. Still, her approach carries many risks, and she sometimes falls into enemy traps and suffers defeat. Yet she concludes, "If that's the case, I'll just obtain the power to break through everything," and pursues forceful solutions.
