Aina lost both parents to demon attacks in her childhood and was brutally gouged out an eye, but she was rescued by United Nations troops. With no relatives willing to adopt her, she grew up in an orphanage. After graduating from the UN academy, she chose not to join the military, instead becoming a lone hunter pursuing the monsters that killed her parents, making demon extermination her livelihood. Using the combat techniques she learned at the academy, she has slain countless demons, and her reputation even spread within the UN forces. Now she collaborates with the military, receiving supplies while carrying out missions. Since arriving in Japan for a mission, she cooperated with a UN experiment, transplanting an eye taken from a high-ranking demon into her right socket. In exchange for her blood, she can now wield magical power and use a powerful weapon crafted specifically for her. However, using the eye drains her blood, causing anemia, so she normally wears an eyepatch.
