She is Mizuki Yukikaze's childhood friend and a sister-like presence. Akiyama Tatsuro is her younger brother. A master of the tachi and the full-transmission holder of the ninja-clan sword style Itsutō-ryū, she is feared as the "Demon-slaying Taimanin," a skilled and beautiful swordswoman. She is always by Yukikaze's side, devotedly supporting her. Caring for her sister (Yukikaze) and brother (Tatsuro) is her hobby, and she showers them with overwhelming kindness and affection, though she is seen at the academy as a strong, beautiful, and strict senior and shows no interest at all in the countless male suitors. She is immensely popular among the female students, and a secret "Lady Rinko fan club" has quietly spread. When a friend asked her to work a part-time job wearing "cute" clothes for the New Year, she gladly accepted. However, the costume provided was nothing like the "cute" she had imagined. Nonetheless, responsible Rinko, having taken the job, puts on the "cute" outfit and does her best at the part-time work.
