She is a demon serving as a guard in the prison of the Dark City. Recruited for her Demon Realm-trained capture techniques and combat ability, she isn't exactly a diligent guard; she swings the soul-stealing demon sword 【Nirgarl】 at inmates, reducing them to pure souls (she calls it "space-saving"), then trades those souls for profit. The prison is filled with inmates who can't be tried under Human Realm law, so trading lives for money has long been commonplace, but Kawoola doesn't enforce any regulations—instead she runs the place herself, shrugging off criticism with "There are too many criminals, and there's no point keeping them alive." She's optimistic and carefree, not very thoughtful, but her innate cruelty and ruthlessness let her prey on others without malice. She's also sexually uninhibited, loving to take strong men by force. When she spots a favored prisoner, she ensnares him with her poisonous fangs; occasionally she spares a liked inmate's soul and keeps him close to "pamper" him. Usually she's a guard in the prison, but sometimes she goes out to hunt villains. She sheds her guard uniform for hunting gear, and alongside Nirgarl wields the newly acquired cursed blade 【Sacrificial Hungry Soul】 as she runs amok.
