She excels at hacking electronic devices and interfering with minds, making her suitable for missions that require capturing enemies alive, gathering intelligence, and causing chaos. Her goggles and cat ear-shaped antenna are prototypes developed by the DSO, a defense science research lab in the US. They can convert text input from an AR keyboard into electromagnetic waves that interfere with the nervous system, allowing her to control living beings. However, using this device requires a special spatial recognition ability, and Mikoto is the only one who can use it. Delicate operations are also difficult due to the heavy load on the nerves and the device's heat dissipation and battery capacity issues. Mikoto herself has not awakened to ninjutsu and is poor at martial arts and physical activities, unable to match even a low-ranking ninja without her device.
