They are a former human infected with a special virus from the dimensional invader's virus weapon, resulting in a loss of body hair, rapid breathing like a dog, and a brutal, bestial appearance with a loss of intelligence. They possess abnormal strength, but most of their sensory abilities are weak, except for a keen sensitivity to the smell of blood, which they can detect from over a kilometer away. Their skin burns when exposed to ultraviolet light, forcing them to hide in darkness during the day. If they bite someone, the victim will become infected with the virus and transform into an Infected within 48 hours on average, joining their ranks.
