She is a Taimanin and a student at Gosha Academy. She is the cousin of Uehara Rin, the "Electric-Shining Taimanin" famed for her bravery, and she uses electric-style ninjutsu. The Uehara family, while not as prominent as the Iga or Kouga clans, has long been a distinguished upper-rank ninja house. Her electric ninjutsu may sound flashy in writing, but unlike "Lightning" style that manipulates thunder, it primarily controls the minute electrical currents that exist within living beings, producing power comparable to static electricity in winter. Because she has a resistance to electricity, she is often teased as being best suited for electrical work rather than combat. She acknowledges that her ninjutsu is hardly combat-oriented. She also employs shuriken, but her small stature and limited combat ability place her among the lowest-ranked Taimanin. Nevertheless, her sense of justice burns hot, and she is willing to sacrifice her life to uphold it—though she may end up fleeing or sobbing in the process. An old family custom of dressing boys as girls to protect them from male-targeting spirits still remains, and she was raised as a girl until age six, leaving her embarrassed about being seen topless even if only her upper body is exposed. Consequently, she always watches pool lessons from the sidelines, claiming "immature electricity leakage."
