They are an existence enhanced with the essence of chemistry to counter demonic forces, known by the codename Type Hero. They possess special equipment, Shin'i and Kamui. Shin'i is a blade made from special particles, and Kamui is a shield that can be deployed at any time. They have undergone genetic modification to withstand the load of their equipment, boasting physical abilities several times that of a normal person. They are often calm and lack emotional expression, having become a machine dedicated to eliminating forces that harm people. However, they occasionally display childish actions and behaviors, which may be a glimpse into their true personality. Currently, they live with the Mizuki family, where they are happy.
