She is a former cat who became a fairy kettsie. As a cat, she was taken in by a surly old woman who called her simply "cat" while caring for her. The woman had once been wealthy but lost everything to fraud, grew distrustful of humans, and eventually froze to death on the street while still in debt. The cat seemed destined to die too, but a fairy kettsie hiding in the Human Realm rescued her and brought her to the Demon Realm, where she became a fairy. Having no name and only being called "cat," she adopted the last words the old woman whispered as her name. She spent some time as a kettsie in the Demon Realm but never fit in, so she returned to the Human Realm. Influenced by the old woman, she is also greedy for money, using her charm and demonic powers to extort gold from others. When high-society soirées increase, she becomes the "Vola-Phantom de Soirée (Night-Party Phantom Thief)" and slips into uninvited gatherings to indulge in fine food and drink. She also flirts with rich playboys to swindle their money, stealing hearts as a master-thief pretender. However, her different upbringing can't be hidden, and the hosts have taken notice, dubbing her the "Vola-Petite de Soirée (Night-Party Cute Pickpocket)," making her famous. Still, the damage is limited to food and drink, and she's satisfied once a young man pretends to be charmed and hands over his allowance, so the hosts generally ignore her. Over time, a superstition arose that any soirée she infiltrates will later succeed in business, and she's quietly regarded as a good-luck charm.
