She is an artificial demon created by the U.S. alliance using cells of Saya that remained in the Tokyo Kingdom experimental facility. Developed from the original awakening data to eliminate the instability of the first generation's awakening state, she was engineered without converting from human to awakened form, aiming for efficient use as a bio-weapon. However, Saya NEO went berserk during testing, destroyed the U.S. research lab and escaped. Without master control, she now roams as a rogue demon created by humans, indulging in wanton slaughter. Though she cannot undergo the dramatic transformations of the original, the controlled demonic energy gives her combat power surpassing the first generation. She now lives in Gosha Town, has a new outfit made for her, and seems to be enjoying herself with like-minded companions.
