She is a member of the human-dog race living in the mountain valleys of the Demon Realm. She controls the wind and lives by swift, blade-based hunting, protecting a forest there until nomads coveted the rich resources beneath it and invaded, forcing her clan from the mountains. Young and inexperienced, Yayoi fled to the Human Realm with her comrades, only to be pursued by the nomads, scattering her tribe. She was later captured by a lecherous man and endured a harsh life, though he shared various information about her comrades, each revelation eating away at her heart and body. Still, she never stopped thinking of her scattered friends and waited for a chance to escape. When the moment came, she fled from the man's grasp, reclaimed her armor from his warehouse, and took up the twin blades "Setsuretsu" and "Sasshun" as her weapons. Unable to find suitable clothing, she now wears the outfit the man forced upon her while seeking to reunite with her companion Hazuki.
