A half-artificial lifeform created to control the United States' latest weapon, Artemis. It is the sixty-sixth unit and the first to be completed. Forty percent of its body is mechanized, while the rest is indistinguishable from a normal human, even retaining reproductive functions—though it is unaware of this. Possessing high computational power, it prioritizes Artemis control and is specialized for combat and its preparation, deliberately suppressing human-like thought and emotion. Consequently, it never shows feelings and behaves calmly. It has no awareness that its emotions are being repressed and harbors no doubts about existing solely as a weapon of war. As a creation meant for battle, it is a one-person army on the battlefield, its strength inspiring awe in allies and enemies alike. Over time, Luna has begun to show a slight interest in various matters. The creators, noting this, initially thought emotional suppression was loosening, but discovered that Luna's combat-focused brain is merely beginning to learn emotions. Although emotions are unnecessary for a weapon, they were considered for removal; however, because emotional expression raises Artemis's output by a few percent, the developers decided to observe the development instead. They wondered if further emotional growth might increase output even more and asked Luna if she had any requests. After a brief hesitation, Luna expressed interest in the Valentine's Day festivities currently popular in the city.
