She is a Taimanin student of Gosha, born with a unique condition where one of her arms has turned black like coal. She can release black smoke from this arm, which she can manipulate freely to use her smoke concealment technique. This black smoke, which blocks out light, can be used for stealth or disruption, and she can also control its composition to add toxicity or harden it to create a weapon. Before entering Gosha, she disliked her smoky ninja techniques, but after being inspired by Shido Rinka, another smoke concealment user, she has stopped being humble. She looks up to Rinka as "o-neesama" and strives to become strong and noble like her every day. She is shy and tends to be harsh with others until she opens up, and she often spends time alone, but she is actually a lonely person. She is self-conscious about her arm smoking when her emotions rise.
