She was a witch with immense magical power, but was defeated by the Taimanin and had her magic sealed. As a result, her body shrank, and she has been living in that form for a long time. Even sealed, she still possesses enough magic to easily erase low-rank demons. Her stature has made her personality childlike, but she speaks arrogantly. To avoid being targeted by other races, she uses an alias, and few know her real name. She now lodges at the Yomihara detective agency, patiently searching for a way to return to her original form while devoting herself to hobbies and magical research. Since staying cooped up in this underground city gets boring, she sometimes invites Inage Natsu to go to the beach in the summer. She acts as if she's the elder leading the group, but Merriam is the one having the most fun at the sea.
