Marudel calls herself the "Dream Thief," a dream demon who has honed her abilities to crystallize dreams and seal them within various media. Depending on the medium, the captured dreams appear as paintings, novels, videos, and so on, allowing ordinary humans to experience them. She says the vague, inconsistent nature of dreams is exactly what makes them appealing. The dream's owner loses the memory of the original episode as a side effect. Once an ordinary dream demon, she once entered a person's dream to draw life from it and was captivated by its breathtaking beauty and intensity, driving her to train and claim others' dreams as her own. Marudel always sends a "notice" to her chosen targets, previewing the dream she intends to take. Though it seems like a thief's aesthetic, the notice also stirs the target's memories, making the desired dream easier to obtain. She proudly proclaims herself a thief as a form of camouflage. Her keen "dream-eye" and skill are reliable, attracting requests for secret routes or specific dream thefts, but she rejects them all, collecting only for her own enjoyment. She'll steal any dream she likes, especially those born from tragic pasts or horrific events, and some victims secretly thank her for erasing those memories.
