She is the second daughter of the Shaeirin family, whose name bears their ninjutsu. She has an extremely unique personality and hobbies, which make her technique stand out. "Shaeirin" is a ninjutsu derived from psychic projection, not merely copying but "shooting" thoughts. Originally it added psychic energy to drawn images, but a method was created that treats the view through a ring as a picture to be shot, giving rise to Shaeirin. The family peaked when the art bore their name, then declined, but regained strength with the advent of cameras and video cameras. Among them, Ayano's vivid imagination meshes perfectly with the art, and linking it to her camera hobby dramatically advanced her technique. Her ninjutsu can affect the mind so strongly it alters the body, even influencing thoughts and values. One male student was unable to stop the surge of power for three days. Ayano herself is also heavily affected by her own art and is warned not to point cameras at people or mirrors. It's hard to describe her fully, but subtracting her quirks reveals a talent comparable to the legendary founder who first made the family name a ninjutsu. She excels at making mouths talk and changing thoughts, yet she's weak against pressure and especially vulnerable to pleas. She fantasizes about Fuuma Kotaro acting like an overbearing, trashy boyfriend.
