Hazamada Kirino is a student Taimanin at Gosha Academy who wields the mist technique, a branch of water style. By activating her art, she manipulates the moisture around her to generate mist of varying density, stealing enemies' sight or concealing herself. If she prepares liquids in advance, she can blend their components into the fog, creating poisonous or paralytic clouds to slow foes, or inject anesthetic through tiny gaps and ducts to neutralize indoor enemies. Consequently, she mainly serves as a hidden striker, ambusher, or escape aid in battle, rarely fighting head-on. She has a quiet personality and isn't dissatisfied with missions that keep her out of the spotlight. Her calm demeanor and mature appearance often make her seem older than her actual age, though she doesn't mind it. She does dislike being nicknamed "Madame" behind her back. She prefers student-like clothing and hobbies, but sometimes draws odd looks that clash with her looks. She consciously keeps both her speech and voice restrained, though she can become lively around close friends.
