Poipuka is the daughter of a sea dragon who watches over the ocean in a certain region. She was born when a pregnant woman threw herself into the sea and the sea dragon shared its power with the child inside her. The sea dragon can wield the very sea it dominates as its own power, summoning forces like massive waves, and possesses an almost immortal ability to resurrect endlessly as long as the sea remains clean, leading to shrines that worship it as a guardian deity. Poipuka's appearance is close to human, though it's more accurate to say a sea dragon taking human form. Her powers are still immature, and she is zealously training to inherit the sea dragon's role as the ocean's guardian. Currently she is learning about human society and, while keeping her true nature hidden, works part-time at a seaside tavern, where a large fish tank serves as her current territory. She is innocent and somewhat cheeky, but will listen when convinced. Lately, listening to couples at the tavern has sparked her interest in… that side of things.
