She is a student Taimanin who uses the "Moujin no Jutsu," a technique that manipulates her own hair. She can not only manipulate her hair freely, but also change its hardness, cut it, and use it as a projectile. Although her hair does not have pain receptors, it can provide some feedback in terms of touch. Cut hair can be controlled as long as she is in contact with it, but it will return to being ordinary hair after a few minutes if she lets go. Since there is a limit to the amount of hair that can be extended at one time, she basically uses scissors as a weapon and cuts her hair to use it in battle. She has a bright and cheerful personality, and has many friends, both male and female, at school. She often cuts her friends' hair during breaks, and her approachable nature has led to numerous confessions from boys, although she does not seem to be interested in romance. However, she is actually very interested in relationships between men and women, and has a lot of knowledge about such things. The reason she is not interested in boys is because her father, who also uses the Moujin no Jutsu, uses his body hair as a weapon, making her uncomfortable around hairy men. During a Halloween mission, Sumika had to dress up in a costume. She and her friends decided on a red hooded cape, as it would not look out of place with the scissors she carries, and it is also cute.
