She is a Taimanin of the Kagomori family, said to possess a flower spirit at the origin of blood. Though they crown themselves with flowers, the true essence of Kagomori power lies in the fruit that follows a bloom; the flower is merely a stage and holds little power. Once they were fruit-guardians using fruit-escape, but as ages passed and they mixed with humanity, maintaining that power became extremely difficult. With the changing demands for power, they now achieve fruit-escape by channeling flower techniques. In return, the Kagomori provide "palace-leasing" and related secret arts to keep fragile bloodlines alive, as well as instruction in the techniques of flower-binding. These are not ninja arts or chi manipulation, but pure methods for tying flowers. By constantly filling themselves with power they produce better fruit and also enhance their ninjutsu, making the technique guidance an essential survival strategy. Because it also enriches life, many—regardless of gender—joyously seek their guidance.
