She is a mad scientist who pursues the romance and potential of steam engines—an antiquated technology in this age of ever-advancing science. Once a genius researcher in the U.S. forces expected to excel in many fields, she became enamored with steam-engine literature she found while killing time and devoted herself to its study. After proposing a plan to revive steam engines in the modern world, her superiors dismissed her outright and berated her, so she blew up her entire department and fled. Since then she's built her own lab and throws herself into research alone. Though establishing the lab brought countless obstacles, she swept them aside with her brilliant mind and the weapons she created. She is both a mad scientist and an extreme machine-fetishist, instantly exhilarated by machines or cyborgs—touching them, even inhaling their scent. She's a rationalist who never listens to others, doesn't care if her research inconveniences anyone, understands common sense but lacks any desire to abide by it.
