Hazumi Yokozono is a student Taimanin at Gosha Academy. Her hand-to-hand skills are below average, but she shines on missions with a powerful ninjutsu that can alter people's emotions. She's an indomitable, hot-blooded girl who never gives up, believing that sheer will and grit can get her through any disadvantageous situation. Despite that, she's academically excellent, especially knowledgeable about classical literature and history, and she once served on the library committee. When she first enrolled, her ninjutsu was weak, so she aimed to contribute more through mental-care than frontline combat. However, after her older brother—who had graduated earlier and become a Taimanin—died on a mission, she, who adored him beyond sibling affection, went into a semi-berserk awakening and gained her current powerful technique. She always wears the white coat—a keepsake her brother used to wear—slung over her shoulder. As a side effect of awakening, her mind is constantly under the technique's influence; the quiet girl who once swayed her long hair at the library counter, reading ancient texts and praying for her brother's safety, is gone. Her temperament has changed, and she was chased out of the library for being too noisy, but with enough spirit and grit she can handle anything. With spirit and grit she can survive even in a world without her brother. There's nothing in this world that can't be overcome with spirit and grit.
