She is a Taimanin belonging to the Defense Science Laboratory (DSO). Feared as the "Steel Reaper" for burying enemies with her android arms and legs. She is the surviving heir of the noble Koukawa clan. Her family, including her parents, was killed by the Corpse Lord's forces, after which she was taken in and raised by the Iga clan. She uses the ninja art Wind God's Technique, an adaptation of wind style that lets her ride the wind for high-speed movement (Wind God • Hien), soar high (Wind God • Hishou), compress wind into blades for attack (Wind God • Jinba), and create wind paths (Wind God • Kuujin), employing wind for both offense and defense. Though Asuka fights with android arms and legs, she also has everyday-use versions. She sometimes wonders what kind of android arms and legs would look good with a wedding dress.
