Aether Balemegia is a teacher at Gosha Academy who primarily instructs Demon Realm studies. The subject covers the basic species of the Demon Realm, their traits, the magic they wield, their culture, and preferences. She also teaches about the ecology of common demonic beasts. Highly skilled at detecting the magical energy used by demons, she always appears at crime scenes where demonic involvement is suspected. Familiar with the many methods humans have tried to obtain demonic power, she researches ways to prevent such misuse. Her specialty is a unique ninjutsu called "Seal-Release," which lets her bind anything into specially crafted books and freely retrieve it. Anything larger than a book, or possessing magical power beyond a book's tolerance, can be sealed. All the magic she uses in class or battle is summoned through this Seal-Release. Because she often leaves the village on long-term missions, many students have never met her or taken her classes and sometimes report her as a suspicious intruder at Gosha. She is apparently favored by cats, which often appear to accompany her when she blends into the scenery.
