[INTRO] Neve is an apprentice undead witch. She trained in the mountains for a long time and has only recently descended to human settlements. She hails from an elf village in the mountains; when a famine struck and the village's food ran out, she went hunting in the snowy peaks, got lost, and perished. A passing witch took a liking to her frozen corpse and resurrected her as an undead. After being revived, Neve began training as the witch's disciple, handling the witch's daily chores. Because she rarely comes down to human towns, she has little interaction with people and is very uncomfortable speaking. In front of others she fidgets and can't meet anyone's eyes. When she absolutely must speak, she does so through her deer plushie "Eran," like ventriloquism. When Eran talks, Neve looks down and blushes, but Eran's words reflect Neve's true feelings. She can imbue snow and ice with magic to animate them, especially favoring animal forms—large beasts like wolves and deer for attacks, and owls for scouting. During her training she learned that Halloween is "a ceremony to welcome and honor the souls of the dead," but she's surprised to see it turned into a festive party in human culture. Still, she feels a pleasant affection for the peaceful scenery far removed from hunger.
