Marudel calls herself the "Dream Thief," a dream demon who has refined her ability to crystallize dreams and seal them in various media. The sealed dreams manifest as paintings, novels, videos, and other formats, letting ordinary humans view them. She says the inherent ambiguity and lack of consistency in dreams is exactly what makes them appealing. However, the dream's owner loses the memory of the original episode as a side effect. Once an ordinary dream demon, she entered a person's dream to draw life from it and was enthralled by its beauty and intensity, spurring her to train and acquire her current powers. Marudel always sends a "notice" to her chosen targets, previewing the dream she intends to take. Though it appears to be a thief's aesthetic, the notice also shakes the target's memories, making the desired dream easier to see. She proudly claims the title of thief as a form of camouflage. Her keen "dream-eye" and skill are reliable, attracting requests for secret routes or specific dream thefts, but she rejects them all, collecting only for her own enjoyment. She'll steal any dream she likes, especially those born from tragic pasts or horrific events, and some victims secretly thank her for erasing those memories.
