Nagiriin Ryou is a student Taimanin at Gosha Academy. She wields the "Flame Soul Demon" technique linked to soul-stealing, gathering strong thoughts from both the dead and the living and shaping them into fire. The pale blue flame, called an Enki, possesses a will derived from the absorbed thoughts. The Enki she commands is so powerful it can construct a physical body, and each use of the technique attempts to seize Ryou's own body. Through rigorous training she now controls the output, allowing her to command only a fragment of the materialized Enki. Fully aware of the danger of her art, she keeps people at arm's length, yet those who know her treat her with a respectful distance and friendly regard. She secretly loves cute things; when friends discover this, they swaddle her in frilly, ribbon-adorned bunny outfits. She likes them a lot, though she's also embarrassed by it.
