She is a high-ranking ninja and a key officer supporting the Ikkaku and Nisha households of the Fuuma Hachijo. It is said that she has been serving since the time of the first Fuuma Kotaro, which would mean she has been alive for over 500 years. She is a wielder of the evil eye, a trait commonly found among the Fuuma clan. Bikuni's evil eye, "the Azure Eye of the Mermaid," can drain the life energy of anything it sees with her right eye, converting it into her own energy. Targets that have their life energy completely drained are said to transform into monstrous creatures resembling merfolk.
